How to access email on this server

In order to keep your data and your messages confidential, this server supports SSL encryption both for webmail and POP access.

To use it, you should install the SSl Root Certificate self-signed by PeaceLink so that your software accepts the various certificates and doesn't show any pop-up warning.

This must be done in your browser and your email client; each software might have different options, but generally all modern platforms and softwares support SSL certificates (so far the only platform we know has some problems is obsolete Macintosh systems with Microsoft Internet Explorer).

So download the following certificate: ca.crt and answer affermative to all the questions your software might rise.

Webmail

To read your email with a browser (such as Mozilla Firefox), browse to https://webmail.peacelink.org. If you have properly installed the SSL Root certificate, you should see no warnings and the SSL encryption sign (tipically a lock) should be visible and locked.
If you receive a warning regarding SSL certificate, something is wrong with root certificate installation, but this doesn't stop you to carry on.
Then login using your email address and the password that has been assigned to you. Once you have logged in, you can change your password (which is the same of the POP account) and edit your options.

POP-SSL

This is the preferred option to download email to your computer using an email client software (such as Mozilla Thunderbird).
The pop servers is: pop.peacelink.org
The port is the usual for POP-SSL: 995
Use the login and password that have been communicated to you (please note that login is not your email address).

POP3

This is an unsecure way to read your email, If you really want to do that, you can access the server setting the following values in your software settings.
The pop servers is: pop.peacelink.org
The port is the usual for POP3: 110
Use the login and password that have been communicated to you (please note that login is not your email address).

Notes

- This server uses only free software
- We suggest you to use Mozilla software, in particular Firefox web browser and Thunderbird email client
- All email passing through this server is filtered by antivirus and antispam software; but in any case we don't have any responsibilty regarding email that can be sent or received through this server.
- There's no limit on the mailbox size, however please download your messages
- There's a limit of about 15 Mb on the maximum size of single message that can be sent or received through this server
